SAND & SEAL WOOD RESTORATION

We have fully trained employees for this type of specialist work, so we will look after your project from start to finish to ensure a smooth and successful restoration.

Timber Floorboard and Parquetry Restoration

Your first decision is whether to recoat or perform a full sand and seal process.

A recoat or maintenance coat is where you would thoroughly clean the floor, carry out a gentle sanding and then apply a coat of floor sealant such as Bona.

As a rule of thumb, obviously dependant upon floor ‘traffic’, this should be carried out every 3-4 years as a general floor maintenance procedure.

A full sand and seal needs to be carried out where the floor has been damaged i.e. there are significant scratches or dents, or where the existing varnish or hard wax finish has completely worn away exposing the bare timber flooring.

We will come and carry out a no obligation full survey of the floor that requires sanding and sealing to enable us to provide you with the best possible quotation.

We will fully explain the process – what will happen before, during and how to maintain and care for your newly refurbished floor after we have finished.
